Many years ago I became a bit obsessed with painting Warhammer figures. I never really played the game, but found the figures to be incredible. The only catch was that you couldn’t buy them assembled and painted. They come either as plastic or metal figures, with arms, weapons etc.. that can be customized and attached.

I focused on LOTR figures and ended up submitting some of them to GamesWorkshop Painting contests. To my surprise I won first place in the beginner category for the local, State, and Regional contests. My figure of Gimli placed second in the National contest.

I will follow up with some before and after shots and some tips and tricks, but for now, here are a couple of images.
